A Native of Memphis, TN, Tara Fitshugh holds a B.A. cum laude in Political Science with focus on 3rd world development from Bowling Green University. While there, she took a semester to study in Belgrade, Serbia. Prior to her arrival in Austin, she worked for Blockbuster Video, as a business analyst and then worked for Ducks Unlimited, a noprofit organization focused on legal reform.
In her brief stint with Yale Law, Tara’s particular interest in criminal defense work. She is also interested in gun laws in Texas. She was an editor of Yale Law & Policy Review. Last summer, she worked for the Broncos and plans to spend the summer in Las Vegas, NV. Although her goals are not yet set in stone, Tara is interested in private practice and perhaps working in defense of those persecuted by anti-gun lobbyists and the media.
